About Scout Troop 270

Troop 270 is a Boy Scout troop in Stow, Ohio. The United Methodist Church in Stow sponsors the troop. We have been in existence for more than 30 years. The troop varies in size from 25 – 40 active, registered scouts and 15 to 20 registered adults (both troop leaders and committee members). The scouts run the troop with the adults used only as advisors per BSA recommendations.

Join Us!

That is easy. Just come to any Tuesday meeting and see how the troop works. You must register (if not already done) with BSA and pay the semi-annual Troop dues of $25 per six months. Each scout is required to have a class A or khaki shirt and a class B or troop red shirt. Also each scout must purchase a Boy Scout Handbook.

Parents - Get Involved!

Every parent is welcome to help out with the troop. Each parent is required to register as a committee member (insurance reasons). Each parent is also encouraged to take part in the leader training offered once a year by the district.
